Mr Hastings Mzoma is the Financial Sector Development Specialist for Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Scaling Project, before that he has served at Lake Malawi Anglican University as Acting Principal for the University College and Lecturer in Economics. He also served as Director of Capital Markets and Microfinance Supervision Department at Reserve Bank of Malawi. He holds a Master's degree in Economics obtained at Louisiana State University (USA) in 1998. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business Administration obtained at the Malawi Polytechnic, University of Malawi in 1990. He rose through the ranks of senior examiner, principal examiner, chief examiner within various financial supervision departments in the bank and is credited with setting up a Consumer Protection and Financial Literacy Unit at the Reserve Bank of Malawi. His main focus area is financial inclusion.
